Body-shopped Contract Site Supervisor (Geotechnical) (Ref: 88144)
Responsibilities:
Main duties of the body-shopped Site Supervisor (Geotechnical) (SS(G))s are to conduct site supervision on geotechnical works including Ground Investigation Field Works and Building Works with Significant Geotechnical Content as stipulated in Code of Practice for Site Supervision 2009 (CoPSS) and/or other duties under direct instructions and supervision of the employer.
Requirements:
The SS(G) for supervising Ground Investigation Field Works must hold the following minimum qualifications and experience as required for a Technical Competent Person of Grade T3 under RGE’s Stream in the Code of Practice for Site Supervision 2009 in either of the following cases:
- i) a minimum qualification of Higher Certificate or Higher Diploma in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, and with a minimum of 5 years relevant site supervision experience (including one year in Ground Investigation works), or
- ii) a minimum qualification of Degree in Geology which covers the specified engineering related subjects (Note) or Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, and with a minimum 2 years relevant site supervision experience in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering works, or
iii) a minimum qualification of Degree in Geology which covers the specified engineering related subjects (Note) or Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, and has passed specified geotechnical top-up course and with a minimum 1-year relevant site supervision experience in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering works.
Note: A degree in geology which covers the specified engineering related subjects shall mean a degree in geology which should have at least three of its modules covering any three or more of the following subjects: soil mechanics, rock mechanics, engineering geology, hydrogeology, applied geoscience and foundation engineering.
- Working hours – 45 hours in 5 days each week, excluding lunch breaks and travel time between home an office or site.
- The normal office hours are Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 6:00 pm including one hour for lunch.

Survey Officer (Ref: 70325)
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out land and engineering surveying tasks including field surveying, computing, data
processing and plan preparation;
- Producing land and engineering survey products using advanced electronic survey
instruments and computer applications;
- Undertaking geographical information system related spatial data collection, input, updating and
analysing work;
- Assisting in the training of junior staff.
(Notes: A Survey Officer may be posted to construction sites, the normal working hours Mon to Sat from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., required to work shifts or irregular hours, perform emergency survey duties, work in any part of Hong Kong and work outdoor in heavy traffic, hilly and remote areas, and in inclement weather conditions. They may also be required to carry heavy survey equipment in rugged terrain.)
Requirements:
- Higher Diploma in Geomatics / Land Surveying and Geoinformatics, or a Diploma / Higher
Certificate in Land Surveying and Cartography, from a Hong Kong polytechnic university / polytechnic,
the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a technical college / technical institute, or equivalent;
- Met the language proficiency requirements of “Level 2” or above in Chinese Language and English
Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong
Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience;
- Knowledge of using ARCGIS, AutoCAD and / or point clouds processing would be an advantage.
