Assistant Land Surveyor (Ref: 70626)
Job Duties:
- Assist in general management of projects relating to the development of data validation and checking module for the Survey
Data System (SDS), the exploration of Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) technology for site monitoring, the
enhancement of the digitalized workflow for Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) surveys of underground utilities assets, and
the pilot project for Small Unmanned Aircraft (SUA) docking stations, including steering the project implementation, ensuring
achievement and quality of project deliverables; - Coordinate office procurement exercises, such as conducting market research, preparing contract documents, participating in
proposal evaluation and recommendation for offer acceptance; - Carry out liaison and coordination with Government bureaux and departments (B/Ds), suppliers and services providers to
explore on opportunities for collaboration regarding innovative application of surveying; and - Perform any other duties as assigned by his/her supervisors and to share other workload.
Employment Terms:
- 5 days’ work, Mondays (except Public Holidays) 0900-1800, Tuesdays – Fridays (except Public Holidays) 0900-1745,
normally 44 hours per week (including lunch break); - Work location: Meinhardt offices or government department.
Requirements:
- A qualification recognized by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) as satisfying the academic requirements for
corporate membership in the Land Surveying Division; - Completed a 2-year graduate training scheme recognized by the HKIS or equivalent;
- Have Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSE or HKCEE or equivalent;
- Knowledge of and possession of experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) and application development will be
advantageous; - With communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities;
- Good command of spoken and written English, Chinese and Putonghua;
- Prefer immediately available or with a reasonable short notice.
